Technology Onboarding Specialist

Role Overview Caterpillar Inc. is looking for a Technology Onboarding Specialist to join their Chennai team and support go-to-market strategies, sales execution, and product expertise across assigned offerings. This is a full-time, onsite role where you will serve as a subject matter expert helping customers, dealers, and internal sales teams get the most value from Caterpillar products and technology. You will play a key part in driving business growth through marketing technology roadmaps and hands-on product training. Key Responsibilities - Deliver product application expertise at the point of sale and provide training on applied technology, job efficiency, and safety to customers, dealers, and company sales personnel - Conduct product performance studies and assess customer job site efficiency to gather requirements that feed into product improvement and new product introduction programs - Manage marketing technology tools and systems, working with key stakeholders to develop a technology product roadmap aligned to business growth objectives - Build and maintain strong client relationships by proactively addressing concerns, monitoring satisfaction levels, and resolving critical issues in a timely manner - Apply value-selling techniques by researching customer industries, quantifying costs and benefits, and clearly articulating the value of Caterpillar solutions Required Qualifications - Working knowledge of customer focus principles and the ability to translate customer needs into tailored solutions - Familiarity with product and service portfolios and the ability to explain features, delivery options, and updates to diverse audiences - Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations, write reports, and provide constructive feedback - Basic understanding of negotiation concepts and the ability to build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders - Ability to apply critical thinking in decision-making, identify relevant data, and assess risks and benefits effectively - Technical competence with a willingness to continuously build knowledge and help others resolve procedural or technical challenges Why Join Us At Caterpillar, you become part of a global team of makers, problem solvers, and innovators who are genuinely committed to building a more sustainable world for communities everywhere.
