Centre Head - Telesales

Role Overview Niva Bupa Health Insurance is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Centre Head to lead and manage the Telesales Centre operations in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving daily business outcomes, managing a high-performing team of Relationship Managers, and ensuring seamless coordination with partner bank stakeholders. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong sales acumen, team management skills, and a deep understanding of health insurance products. Key Responsibilities - Oversee daily floor management of the allocated Telesales centre and drive expected business outcomes including productivity, average ticket size, and number of policies - Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Relationship Managers to achieve optimal lead conversion and sales targets - Ensure all team members are thoroughly trained on Niva Bupa products, processes, guidelines, and soft skills relevant to health insurance sales - Monitor and maintain quality standards across all customer interactions, with active engagement on critical calls involving high ticket sizes or escalations - Drive sales quality by controlling policy cancellations and endorsements while maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards - Build and manage strong relationships with partner bank stakeholders to support business growth - Coordinate with authorized verifiers and ensure timely completion of operational requirements including endorsements and claims - Analyse call volumes, lead pipelines, and conversion metrics to optimise centre performance and achieve business objectives Required Qualifications - Graduate or Post Graduate degree in any discipline - Proven experience in managing outbound or inbound Telesales operations with team handling responsibilities - Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach - In-depth product knowledge of health insurance or BFSI sector offerings - Demonstrated ability to drive sales quality metrics and manage high-performing teams - Proficiency in technology tools used in Telesales environments - Sound understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance sector Why Join Us Niva Bupa is one of India's fastest-growing Standalone Health Insurers, certified as a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years, and is on an ambitious growth journey targeting over 10000 Cr GWP by 2027.
