Role Overview
Niva Bupa Health Insurance, one of India's fastest growing standalone health insurers, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Centre Head to lead its Telesales operations in Chennai. This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day functioning of the telesales centre, driving business outcomes, and building a high-performing team. The Centre Head will report to the Area Manager - Institutional Sales and will play a pivotal role in helping the organisation achieve its ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily floor management of the allocated telesales centre and ensure achievement of business targets including productivity, average ticket size, and number of policies sold
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers, ensuring timely authorisation processes and adherence to organisational guidelines
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members on Niva Bupa products, sales processes, compliance guidelines, and soft skills to improve lead conversion rates
- Monitor and maintain quality standards on customer calls, actively facilitating critical customer interactions and escalations
- Manage stakeholder and partner bank relationships to strengthen the channel and drive mutual business objectives
- Control policy cancellations and endorsements to ensure overall sales quality and compliance with regulatory norms
- Analyse call and lead data to ensure optimum lead flow and maximise conversion efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in any discipline
- Proven experience managing outbound or inbound telesales teams in an insurance or BFSI environment
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of health insurance products, processes, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution excellence and build high-performing teams
- Proficiency with sales technology platforms and CRM tools
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution

Requirements
- Graduate or Postgraduate qualification in any discipline
- Hands-on experience managing telesales teams in outbound or inbound setups
- Strong knowledge of health insurance products and BFSI industry practices
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Proven ability in team management and stakeholder relationship building
- Customer-centric approach with proactive issue resolution capabilities
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance sector
- Technology proficiency including CRM and sales management tools
