Role Overview
Caterpillar Inc. is looking for an RMC Supervisor to join its Product Support team in Chennai. In this role, you will provide in-depth technical support and lead problem-solving and quality implementation efforts across all supported products and services. You will play a key part in shaping customer experiences and driving continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine service level standards for customer service requests across assigned product lines
- Answer technical questions for complex issues and handle product-related problems with customers
- Prioritise and implement product improvements linked to customer feedback while managing cost impact
- Develop and implement service strategies for products to improve repairability and ease of maintenance
- Build deep knowledge of organisational products, programs, and team capabilities within the department
Required Qualifications
- Basic to working-level understanding of customer focus principles and practices
- Ability to gather, analyse, and document data from multiple sources using standard tools
- Working knowledge of service excellence practices and customer complaint resolution
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to avoid unnecessary technical jargon
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability using disciplined and structured approaches
- Working knowledge of relationship management and technical excellence in a product support environment
