Senior CNC Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Track)

Role Overview Haitian Group is hiring experienced Senior CNC Engineers for two specialised tracks: Mechanical Design and Electrical Design. This is a full-time, mid-senior level opportunity based in Chennai for professionals with deep expertise in CNC machine development and industrial automation. The ideal candidates will be capable of independently leading technical projects and driving innovation in machine design and control systems. Key Responsibilities - Lead the mechanical or electrical design and development of CNC machines and automation equipment - Develop machine structure concepts, electrical schematics, control cabinet layouts, and automation solutions - Design and optimise key mechanical components such as transmission systems, spindle structures, and precision motion mechanisms, or program and tune PLC, HMI, servo, and motion control systems - Support new product development, machine upgrades, cost reduction initiatives, and intelligent manufacturing projects - Improve machine stability, precision, and production efficiency through engineering-driven solutions - Review mechanical drawings, BOMs, electrical documentation, and technical manuals - Provide on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and after-sales technical support - Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, production, process, and customer-facing teams - Establish and continuously improve design standards and engineering workflows Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline - Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in CNC machine or industrial automation design (mechanical or electrical track) - For Mechanical Track: proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, UG NX, or equivalent CAD software; strong knowledge of machining processes and assembly principles - For Electrical Track: strong experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, or similar PLC and control platforms; familiarity with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools - Solid understanding of servo systems, industrial communication protocols, and motion control technology (Electrical Track) - Ability to independently manage technical projects, resolve complex engineering problems, and deliver results - Experience in precision machinery or automation equipment is an added advantage - Good communication, coordination, and cross-functional teamwork skills Why Join Us Haitian Group is a globally recognised leader in manufacturing and CNC machine innovation, offering a collaborative environment where skilled engineers can take ownership of high-impact technical projects.
