SCADA L1 Operator

Role Overview Siemens Gamesa is hiring a SCADA L1 Operator to join its Remote Operations Center in Chennai. As part of a round-the-clock operational team, you will deliver first-level remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support for SCADA wind farm systems and communication networks. This is a critical role that directly supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of wind energy assets across global sites. Key Responsibilities - Provide first-level remote support for SCADA systems, communication networks, and associated operational applications - Deliver technical assistance to Site Managers, Control Centers, and customers to resolve system incidents promptly - Perform initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of SCADA-related issues with accurate documentation and follow-up - Support remote connectivity tools including VPN access and incident tracking platforms - Participate actively in 24x7 rotational shift operations to maintain continuous system availability - Escalate unresolved incidents to higher-level support teams in a timely and structured manner Required Qualifications - Higher education or technical degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline - Working knowledge of SCADA systems and OPC communication protocols is preferred - Hands-on experience or understanding of network fundamentals, VPN tools, and remote support applications - Basic knowledge of database systems and SCADA incident management workflows - Proficiency in English at B2 level or above; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage - Genuine interest in the wind energy or renewable energy sector is a strong plus - Strong problem-solving ability, self-management skills, and willingness to work in a rotational shift model Why Join Us Siemens Gamesa is a global leader in wind energy and part of Siemens Energy, with over 150 years of innovation in sustainable energy solutions.
