SCADA L1 Operator

Role Overview Siemens Gamesa is looking for a SCADA L1 Operator to join its Remote Operations Center in Chennai. This is a full-time, 24x7 rotational shift role where you will be responsible for first-level remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support for SCADA wind farm systems and communication networks. Your contributions will directly support the safe and efficient functioning of wind energy operations across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities - Provide first-level remote support for SCADA systems, communication networks, and associated applications - Deliver technical assistance to Site Managers, Customers, and Control Centers as required - Perform initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of SCADA-related incidents and maintain proper documentation and follow-up - Support remote connectivity tools including VPN access and incident tracking platforms - Participate actively in 24x7 shift operations to ensure continuous system availability - Escalate unresolved incidents to higher-level teams as per defined procedures Required Qualifications - Higher education or technical degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline - Working knowledge of SCADA systems and OPC communication protocols is preferred - Hands-on experience with SCADA incident support, network fundamentals, VPN tools, and basic database concepts - Advanced English communication skills at minimum B2 level; knowledge of additional languages is a bonus - Strong initiative, self-management, and problem-solving capabilities - Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment - Interest in the wind energy or renewable energy sector is a strong advantage Why Join Us Siemens Gamesa is a global leader in wind energy and a key part of Siemens Energy, committed to driving the clean energy transition for over 150 years.
