SCADA L1 Operator

Role Overview Siemens Gamesa is looking for a SCADA L1 Operator to join its Remote Operations Center in Chennai. In this role, you will be part of a round-the-clock team responsible for first-level remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical support for SCADA wind farm systems and communication networks. Your contributions will directly support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of wind energy assets across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities - Monitor SCADA systems and communication networks as part of a 24x7 operational shift team - Provide first-level remote maintenance support for SCADA applications, VPN access, and remote connectivity tools - Assist Site Managers, Customers, and Control Centers with technical queries and incident resolution - Perform initial diagnosis and troubleshooting of SCADA-related incidents and ensure accurate documentation and follow-up - Escalate unresolved incidents to higher-level support teams while maintaining proper incident tracking records - Ensure continuous system availability and support seamless energy delivery from wind farm operations Required Qualifications - Higher education or technical or engineering degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field - Knowledge of SCADA systems and OPC communication protocols is preferred - Familiarity with network fundamentals, VPN tools, remote support platforms, and basic database concepts - Prior exposure to SCADA incident support and troubleshooting is an advantage - Advanced English communication skills at B2 level or above; proficiency in additional languages is a plus - Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift model - Interest in the wind energy or renewable energy sector is highly desirable Why Join Us Siemens Gamesa, part of Siemens Energy, is a global leader in wind energy technology with over 150 years of innovation heritage, committed to driving the energy transition and building a sustainable future.
