Process Planning Engineer

Role Overview Saint-Gobain Group in India is looking for a skilled Process Planning professional to join their manufacturing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving process plans to drive operational efficiency and productivity across the organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure production targets are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement comprehensive process plans aimed at boosting efficiency and overall productivity - Analyse existing processes to identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement - Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure seamless workflow integration across the organisation - Develop and maintain detailed documentation related to process planning and execution - Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to team members on updated processes and procedures - Assess and monitor inventory levels in coordination with stores and purchase teams to maintain optimal stock and avoid shortages or surpluses - Create and manage production schedules while factoring in lead times and resource availability - Monitor production progress and make timely schedule adjustments to accommodate changing operational demands - Communicate production schedules and any revisions to relevant teams and key stakeholders - Analyse performance data and generate detailed reports on production output and inventory metrics - Continuously evaluate process performance to ensure departmental and organisational goals are being met Required Qualifications - Prior experience in process planning, production scheduling, or a related manufacturing function - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret production data - Proficiency in creating and managing production documentation and scheduling tools - Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-departmental collaboration - Familiarity with inventory management principles and best practices - Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Why Join Us Saint-Gobain Group is a globally recognised leader in sustainable construction and manufacturing, offering a collaborative work environment with strong career development opportunities.
