Role Overview
Aptiv is a global leader in advanced automotive safety, electrification, and connectivity solutions, working toward a future of zero accidents and sustainable mobility. We are looking for an experienced MFGE Process Engineer specialising in Radar systems to join our Chennai manufacturing team. This is a full-time, on-site role that offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technologies in a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support product launches from Design Validation stage and provide engineering resources during MQ1 and MQ2 milestones
- Coordinate people and equipment resources for prototype and engineering builds, capability studies, and design or supplier issue feedback
- Monitor and improve day-to-day production KPIs including equipment OEE, First Time Quality, SPQVC, and related metrics
- Participate in and support production meetings such as DPM, Operations Review, MRVA, Quality Review, and Escalation forums
- Maintain the master preventive maintenance schedule and optimise machine uptime for maximum production efficiency
- Plan and conduct Line Speed Runs, document findings, close action items, and share lessons learned across teams
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineering on capacity planning and oversee procurement and installation of equipment or tooling
- Attend regular Product Development Team meetings and lead issue escalations as required
Required Qualifications
- BE or B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 8 to 15 years of overall experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in manufacturing engineering
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to handle cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving capability and a proactive, self-motivated work style
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement practices
- Proficiency in Business English with strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a global network environment

Requirements
- BE or B.Tech in Engineering with 8 to 15 years of total experience
- Minimum 3 years in automotive manufacturing engineering
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
- Experience with OEE, FTQ, and SPQVC production KPIs
- Ability to support DV, MQ1, and MQ2 product launch phases
- Familiarity with capacity planning and equipment installation
- Fluent in Business English with strong communication skills
- Energetic, self-motivated, and capable of working in a global team environment
