Business Intelligence Developer - Power BI

Role Overview Saint-Gobain Group in India is looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer with 5 or more years of hands-on Power BI experience to join their Digital Finance team in Chennai. You will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, crafting interactive dashboards, and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Power BI Dataflows - Develop, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service - Build optimised data models and write advanced DAX calculations for business reporting - Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query with M language - Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL databases, Excel files, REST APIs, and cloud platforms - Optimise report performance and manage dataset refresh schedules efficiently - Implement Row-Level Security and manage Power BI workspaces and on-premise gateways - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver effective BI solutions - Ensure data accuracy, governance compliance, and thorough documentation of all BI solutions - Provide ongoing production support and resolve reporting or data issues promptly Required Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience in Power BI development in a professional setting - Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Dataflows - Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M language), and dimensional data modelling - Proficiency in SQL for data querying, joins, and validation - Solid understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations - Experience with Azure Data Services such as Data Lake or Synapse is a strong advantage - Microsoft Power BI Certification PL-300 is preferred Why Join Us Saint-Gobain is a globally recognised leader with a strong presence in India, offering a collaborative work culture and opportunities to work on enterprise-scale digital transformation projects.
