Job Description

Role Overview Saint-Gobain Group in India is looking for a driven and experienced Area Sales Manager to lead channel and project sales operations in Chennai. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in dealer and distributor network management, business development, and territory sales. You will play a key part in expanding market reach and driving revenue growth across the assigned region. Key Responsibilities - Manage and grow channel sales through dealers, distributors, and retailers in the designated territory - Identify and convert new business opportunities in channel and project sales - Present products and solutions to specifiers, distributors, and retail partners - Liaise with customers to resolve issues and manage post-order activities effectively - Achieve sales targets aligned with respective product lines and business objectives - Handle payment collections as per agreed terms with customers - Track new infrastructure developments in the territory and build a database to support sales target achievement - Monitor competitor activity and market movements in respective accounts - Identify new market potential and support business development initiatives Required Qualifications - Proven experience in channel sales, dealer and distributor management, or territory sales - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market potential and business opportunities - Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging specifiers and trade partners - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across functions - Prior experience in building materials, construction products, or a related industry is an advantage Why Join Us Saint-Gobain Group is a globally recognised leader in sustainable habitat and construction solutions, offering a dynamic and growth-oriented work environment.
