Planner - Tender and Project Planning (HV Transmission)

Role Overview NKT is hiring an experienced Planner to manage tender and project planning for high-voltage transmission projects under HV Solutions Karlskrona – Transmission Planning. This is a full-time opportunity based in Chennai or Mumbai, offering exposure to the complete project lifecycle from RFQ to project closing within an internationally recognised engineering environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling, progress tracking, and adherence to planning standards and contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain comprehensive tender schedules and integrated project plans in coordination with relevant stakeholders - Prepare and update BAFO and execution schedules in line with company and contractual standards - Monitor actual progress against planned milestones and report KPIs and deviations to project leadership - Coordinate vendor and sub-contractor schedules and integrate them into a consolidated master schedule - Support schedule risk analysis activities and contribute to project closing and lessons-learned documentation - Identify schedule clashes and interface issues across teams and with clients and partners - Contribute to improving planning tools, processes, and ways of working - Provide guidance and day-to-day coordination support to junior planners Required Qualifications - Engineering degree in any discipline - Minimum 12 years of project planning experience in Cable, Oil and Gas, Piping, or Offshore sectors - Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software - Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken - Knowledge of Deltek Risk Analysis is preferred - Willingness to undertake occasional onshore and offshore site visits Why Join Us At NKT you will play a direct role in supporting the global green energy transition by working on high-impact HV cable projects that power the world's shift to renewable energy. - Engineering degree in any discipline - 12 or more years of project planning experience in Cable, Oil and Gas, Piping, or Offshore industries - Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 - Proficiency in English communication, written and spoken - Ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder schedules and manage competing priorities - Experience preparing tender schedules and BAFO documentation - Deltek Risk Analysis knowledge preferred - Willingness to travel for occasional onshore and offshore site visits
