Senior SAP Consultant - Sales and Distribution

Role Overview NKT, a European leader in power cable solutions with over 130 years of innovation, is looking for a Senior SAP Consultant specialising in Sales and Distribution to join their SAP Digital Core team at G3C Chennai. In this role, you will play a central part in a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation that supports the global green energy transition. You will work closely with European and Scandinavian colleagues, gaining hands-on exposure to industry-specific IS-Mill functionality while contributing to a standardised global SAP platform. Key Responsibilities - Design, configure, and optimise SAP SD processes covering sales orders, deliveries, billing, shipping, returns, customer master data, pricing, and discounts - Streamline end-to-end order-to-cash operations including sales area setup, output management, shipping notifications, invoicing, billing plans, and corrections - Manage and maintain master data covering credit limits, payment terms, and address records while ensuring compliance and data quality standards - Identify and resolve issues related to order blocks, delivery errors, pricing variances, and billing postings through thorough root-cause analysis - Coordinate user acceptance testing, technical documentation, training sessions, and change management activities across global stakeholders - Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate complex sales and distribution requirements into scalable and reliable SAP SD solutions Required Qualifications - Minimum 8 years of hands-on SAP SD experience with exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments - Strong command of SD IMG configuration covering organisational data, sales document types, and master data prerequisites - Advanced experience in pricing and discount configuration using transactions V/08, VK11, and VK12, including rebate management and complex pricing logic - In-depth knowledge of order types, document types, item categories, and schedule line categories for handling complex business scenarios - Proven integration experience with SAP MM and FI modules along with IDoc and EDI connectivity for seamless order processing - Exposure to IS-Mill functionality or experience in S/4HANA SD migration and enhancements is a strong advantage Why Join Us At NKT, you will be part of a purpose-driven, inclusive organisation that values collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning.
