Senior SAP Consultant - MM P2P

Role Overview NKT, a global leader in power cable technology with over 130 years of industry experience, is looking for a Senior SAP Consultant specialising in Materials Management and Procure-to-Pay to join its SAP Digital Core team in Chennai. This is a pivotal role within an ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative, offering the opportunity to shape procurement and inventory operations across NKT's European and international business lines. You will work at the intersection of technology and sustainability, helping build digital foundations that support the global green energy transition. Key Responsibilities - Configure and optimise end-to-end Procure-to-Pay workflows across global SAP landscapes - Maintain accurate materials master data governance, vendor setup, and source determination processes - Manage purchasing operations, goods receipt workflows, and logistics invoice verification - Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, finance, warehouse, and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP solutions - Provide functional support for procurement and inventory issues and drive continuous process improvement - Support testing cycles and maintain thorough documentation for all SAP MM and P2P configurations - Integrate with FI/CO, PP, SD, and WM modules and manage IDoc, EDI, or third-party system interfaces Required Qualifications - Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM and P2P implementation and production support - Deep expertise in purchasing, inventory management, master data governance, and invoice verification - Proven experience implementing S/4HANA materials management concepts and procurement processes - Strong integration knowledge across FI/CO, PP, SD, and WM modules - Experience with IDocs, EDI, or third-party procurement system integration - Ability to work independently in a multicultural, cross-functional environment with minimal supervision - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse business units Why Join Us Joining NKT means becoming part of a forward-looking, internationally minded organisation where your SAP expertise directly contributes to large-scale digital transformation and sustainable energy infrastructure.
