Ops Risk Control Business Associate

Role Overview Citi is looking for an experienced Ops Risk Control Business Associate to join its Chennai operations team. This intermediate-level role is responsible for overseeing a wide range of administrative, financial, and compliance activities that support the business. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of risk frameworks, and the ability to manage complex reporting requirements across global teams. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate with the centralised staffing office on contractor hiring needs and partner with business managers to forecast monthly headcount requirements - Consolidate bi-weekly Resource Justification submissions for time-and-materials and fixed-price resources across global operations - Liaise with global Relationship Managers to ensure supplier alignment with resource and location strategy - Review and process fund approval or disapproval requests, and analyse monthly departmental budget reports to maintain expenditure controls - Examine budget estimates for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and regulatory standards - Complete all compliance-related activities and reporting in a timely and accurate manner - Support real estate analytics and reporting functions as needed - Provide technical assistance and advice on cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation - Review data for integrity and generate structured reports to support effective data management - Assess business risk decisions with due consideration for the firm's reputation, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, policies, and ethical standards Required Qualifications - 13 or more years of relevant experience in Risk and Control functions - Solid understanding of FEMA, COB, and other risk and compliance frameworks - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas - Hands-on experience with database management and information systems - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present clearly and concisely - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience - Willingness to support US night shift timings Why Join Us Citi is one of the world's most respected financial institutions, offering a dynamic work environment where your expertise in risk and operations will have a meaningful impact.
