Subcontract Coordinator

Role Overview Lamprell is looking for an experienced Subcontract Coordinator to join its Chennai team at Perungudi, OMR. In this role, you will oversee the complete subcontracting lifecycle for major offshore and onshore energy projects, ensuring all subcontracted services are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Lamprell's HSES and quality standards. This is a mid-to-senior level opportunity suited for professionals with 10 to 18 years of experience in Oil and Gas or EPC subcontract management. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute subcontracting strategies tailored to complex Oil and Gas and Renewables projects - Lead pre-award activities including bidder pre-qualification, preparation of Invitations to Tender, and technical and commercial bid evaluations - Drive high-value contract negotiations to achieve favourable commercial terms and ensure back-to-back risk alignment with prime contracts - Administer post-award contract activities covering change management, variations, claims processing, and progress payments - Monitor subcontractor performance against schedule milestones, quality standards, and safety compliance requirements - Serve as the primary interface between subcontractors and internal teams including project management, engineering, and legal Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business; a Master's degree or Contract Management certification is an added advantage - Extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas EPC contracts, with familiarity with Aramco or ONGC standards being highly desirable - Strong expertise in commercial risk assessment, claims management, and contract negotiation - Excellent English communication skills and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams Why Join Us Lamprell is a globally recognised energy services company offering professionals the opportunity to work on technically challenging and high-value energy projects.
