Operations Support Manager

Role Overview Citi is looking for a skilled Operations Support Manager to take on an intermediate management role within its Operations Core team in Chennai. This position involves providing complete leadership and strategic direction to multiple teams, ensuring seamless delivery of operations support services in line with Citi's established infrastructure and processes. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert who can operate with a high degree of independence while maintaining strong compliance and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities - Lead the Operations Support department by effectively delegating tasks and responsibilities across multiple teams - Conduct performance evaluations, manage compensation, oversee hiring decisions, handle disciplinary actions, and determine staffing requirements - Monitor team outcomes to ensure consistent quality and efficiency while contributing to resource planning and budget management - Contribute to the development of new techniques, models, and operational procedures within your area of expertise - Facilitate alignment of the Operations Support infrastructure through targeted technologies and streamlined processes - Ensure full compliance with government regulations related to retail accounts by evaluating and implementing appropriate controls and testing measures - Provide sound evaluative judgement in complex and unique situations based on in-depth knowledge of company policies and procedures - Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members, and escalate control issues with full transparency Required Qualifications - 5 to 8 years of proven experience in managing teams within an operations environment - Hands-on experience in analyzing business requirements, developing test plans, and resolving discrepancies - Must hold required licensing including Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 63 - Ability to work independently, adjust priorities swiftly, and perform under pressure with changing deadlines - Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and excellent organisational and time management skills - Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and clear written and verbal communication skills - Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Why Join Us Citi is a globally respected financial institution that values diversity, ethical leadership, and professional growth.
