Job Description

Role Overview DP World is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for the Chemical Sector to join its Sales and Commercial Operations team. This is a mid-senior role focused on driving revenue growth, expanding the client base, and positioning DP World as the logistics partner of choice within the chemical industry across key locations including Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. Key Responsibilities - Achieve revenue targets through acquisition and retention of business in close collaboration with pre-sales, business unit sales, and post-sales teams - Build and maintain strong relationships with key chemical sector clients by understanding their business challenges and delivering customised logistics solutions - Prepare detailed proposals and lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms in coordination with legal and finance teams - Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal teams including operations, marketing, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies - Lead Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews with clients and ensure CRM compliance and effectiveness - Develop long-term account plans spanning one to three years for assigned clients and maintain a sector scorecard to track year-on-year improvement - Support the marketing team in designing customer surveys and implementing corrective actions based on feedback Required Qualifications - Post-graduation in Marketing, Sales, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management - Minimum 10 years of overall experience in logistics or supply chain in India - At least 7 to 10 years of industry-specific experience in the logistics sector - Demonstrated experience in key account management and new business development within the chemical sector - Working knowledge of the full logistics value chain including express delivery, FTL transportation, warehousing, and value-added services - Strong ability to design and implement supply chain solutions tailored to chemical industry requirements Why Join Us DP World is a globally recognised leader in trade and logistics, offering professionals the opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact projects in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Requirements

- Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain in India - 7 to 10 years of chemical sector specific logistics experience - Proven track record in key account management and new business development - Experience across the full logistics value chain including FTL, warehousing, and value-added services - Ability to design and implement industry-specific supply chain solutions - Strong negotiation and proposal development skills - Post-graduation in Marketing, Sales, Logistics, or Supply Chain - Familiarity with CRM tools and cross-functional collaboration
