Role Overview
Saint-Gobain Group in India is seeking a driven and strategic Key Accounts Manager to join their Sales and Business Development team in Chennai. This is a full-time, mid-senior level role focused on nurturing high-value client relationships and unlocking new business opportunities across the Home and Hospitality segment. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients while driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with high-volume customers to support organic growth and meet company objectives
- Identify and pursue new business development avenues and qualified sales leads within the assigned region
- Research and understand customer needs, then recommend suitable solutions from the Home and Hospitality product portfolio
- Communicate new product developments to prospective clients and relay customer feedback to the New Product Development team
- Maintain a healthy and sufficient sales funnel to meet sales targets and perform accurate forecasting
- Engage with prospective clients to continuously improve pipeline quality and conversion
- Lead price negotiations and act as the single point of contact for all client solution queries
- Drive and oversee regional marketing activities and influencer engagement initiatives
- Track, measure, analyse, and report on key account performance metrics
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in key account management or B2B sales, preferably in building materials, construction, or related sectors
- Strong ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships at a senior level
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting and performance reporting
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with NPD, marketing, and operations teams
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently
