Role Overview
Saint-Gobain Group in India is looking for an experienced Key Accounts Manager to drive business growth across builder, developer, government, and commercial segments in a designated territory. This is a client-facing role that demands strong relationship management, technical product knowledge, and a proven ability to convert project leads into revenue. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven professional with a background in sales and a deep understanding of the construction ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Map and manage key accounts across builder, developer, government, and commercial segments within the assigned territory
- Generate product specifications through contractors, consultants, and architects involved in ongoing and upcoming projects
- Build and sustain professional relationships with project stakeholders including PMCs, contractors, designers, and consultants
- Identify new business opportunities and infrastructure projects, converting prospects into active clients
- Liaise with customers on project-related matters and ensure smooth post-order management activities
- Achieve sales targets aligned with the assigned product line and ensure timely payment collection as per agreed terms
- Track competitor movement and new infrastructure developments to maintain a territory-level business intelligence database
- Conduct technical and commercial presentations to architects, builders, contractors, and specifiers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in Sales or Marketing
- Sound understanding of key stages in construction activity and the ability to assess material requirements and project budgets
- Commercial acumen for developing solution portfolio pricing
- Strong presentation, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and assess market developments while staying updated on competitive activity
- Technical knowledge of building material products and the ability to position them effectively to project stakeholders

Requirements
- Science or Engineering graduate with postgraduate qualification in Sales or Marketing
- Experience in key account management within construction or building materials sector
- Strong understanding of construction project cycles and stakeholder dynamics
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with architects, contractors, and consultants
- Commercial acumen and solution-based pricing knowledge
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a territory-based role
- Familiarity with competitor tracking and market intelligence activities
