Field Service Engineer Junior - Shimoga

Key Responsibilities - Perform on-site installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment at customer locations - Deliver technical training and ongoing support to clinical staff and end users to ensure correct and safe equipment usage - Build and maintain strong customer relationships through prompt, professional, and solution-focused service interactions - Collaborate with the regional sales and dealer network by providing technical inputs that support business development and sales opportunities - Negotiate, secure, and manage Service Contracts and spare part sales to meet defined service revenue targets - Handle billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable activities related to routine field service engagements - Maintain personal inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times - Record all field activities accurately in Field Service Reports, CRM systems, and other administrative platforms - Complete mandatory technical training programmes and assessments to stay current with product advancements - Execute tasks assigned by the Area Technical Manager efficiently and within defined timelines Required Qualifications - Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering - 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a medtech or medical devices company - Prior exposure to handling renal or dialysis medical equipment is a strong advantage - Sound problem-solving ability and effective customer relationship management skills - Basic proficiency in English sufficient to read and interpret technical manuals and service documents - Familiarity with CRM or technical management software is preferred Why Join Us Fresenius Medical Care offers a structured career path with individual development opportunities within a globally successful organisation that retains the collaborative spirit of a mid-sized company. - BE or B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering - 2 to 3 years of experience in a medtech or medical devices organisation - Experience handling medical equipment, preferably in the renal or dialysis domain - Strong customer relationship and communication skills - Problem-solving ability and self-motivated work ethic - Basic English reading and comprehension skills for technical documentation - Ability to manage personal spare parts inventory and tools - Familiarity with CRM systems and field service reporting tools
