Design Engineer - Plumbing (Revit MEP)

Role Overview BW Design Group is hiring an experienced Revit Plumbing Designer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Chennai. This full-time role focuses on designing plumbing and drainage systems for high-complexity industrial and facility projects including semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate brings strong BIM modeling skills and a solid understanding of both domestic and industrial plumbing systems. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Revit MEP models for complete plumbing system designs - Prepare layouts for domestic water systems (cold and hot), sanitary and wastewater systems, stormwater drainage, and industrial process drainage - Create detailed drawings, schematics, and isometric representations for construction and coordination - Coordinate design across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure clash-free deliverables - Perform routing, sizing support, and clash detection using BIM tools such as Navisworks - Assist in the selection of plumbing equipment including pumps, tanks, and fixtures - Contribute to specifications, design documentation, and coordination review meetings Required Qualifications - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field - 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in plumbing design for industrial or building projects - Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD - Familiarity with plumbing codes and standards including IPC, UPC, and local US codes - Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection workflows - Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet project deadlines in a team-oriented environment - Knowledge of cleanroom plumbing, acid waste, RO/DI, and specialty piping systems is an added advantage Why Join Us BW Design Group offers the opportunity to work on technically advanced, globally significant projects across pharma, semiconductor, and manufacturing sectors.
