Banking Advisory Specialist

Role Overview Accenture is seeking an experienced Banking Advisory Specialist to join its Corporate and Wholesale Banking operations team in Chennai. In this role, you will help banking clients transform their operations into agile, resilient models by addressing credit quality, productivity, and regulatory challenges. You will play a key part in evaluating business creditworthiness and guiding loan decisions through in-depth financial analysis. Key Responsibilities - Conduct thorough research on the financial history of businesses to assess their creditworthiness and overall financial health - Evaluate risk parameters associated with loans, borrowers, and industries including repayment capacity of the borrower and guarantor - Recommend appropriate courses of action such as approval, decline, or counter-offer for business loan applications - Analyse and solve moderately complex problems in commercial credit underwriting, adapting existing methods and procedures as needed - Understand and align with strategic directions set by senior management in relation to team goals - Manage small teams or individual work efforts at client sites or within Accenture - Interact with peers, management levels, and client stakeholders to deliver superior service outcomes Required Qualifications - Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Master of Commerce (MCom), or MBA in a relevant discipline - 7 to 11 years of hands-on experience in Commercial Credit Underwriting - Advanced proficiency in English (Domestic) - Strong skills in accounting reconciliation, account management, and accounts receivable - Demonstrated numerical ability, negotiation skills, and results-oriented mindset - Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats - Experience in wholesale banking, corporate banking, or related BFSI domains is an advantage Why Join Us Accenture is a globally recognised professional services leader operating across more than 120 countries, offering unmatched career growth through its vast network of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations centres.
