Role Overview
Optum, a global leader in care delivery supported by technology, is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager to handle accounts receivable functions within its revenue cycle operations. This role plays a direct part in improving health outcomes by keeping financial operations running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Review and resolve outstanding insurance balances by identifying issues that delay claim payment finalization
- Coordinate with payers, patients, and clients to ensure timely resolution of claims
- Analyze EOBs and denials at the claim level and identify trends that affect revenue and drive process improvements
- Track and evaluate data to recommend strategies that improve first-pass denial rates and reduce overall AR aging
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the full accounting cycle and claim life cycle
- Ensure all workflow tasks are completed within defined turnaround times and quality standards
- Adhere to company policies, employment terms, and all applicable compliance directives
Required Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of HIPAA rules, regulations, and privacy laws related to information access and release
- Strong command of American English with a neutral accent
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Accurate and efficient typing and keyboard skills
- High level of professionalism and commitment to client and patient satisfaction

Requirements
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy laws
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook
- Experience in accounts receivable and revenue cycle management
- Strong analytical skills for EOB and denial review
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Accurate keyboard and data entry skills
- High professionalism and client-focused work ethic
- Any graduate or postgraduate degree
