Algorithm Manager

Role Overview KLA is a global leader in semiconductor process control and diversified electronics, powering virtually every electronic device in the world. The LS-SWIFT Division within KLA's Global Products Group is seeking a skilled Algorithm Manager to lead the design and development of cutting-edge algorithms for patterned wafer inspection systems. This is a high-impact technical leadership role where you will work alongside world-class engineers, physicists, and data scientists to deliver market-leading solutions for semiconductor manufacturing customers across foundry, logic, memory, automotive, and MEMS markets. Key Responsibilities - Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and validation of algorithms for wafer inspection products - Collaborate with system, product, and domain experts to define algorithm performance requirements and deliver customer-driven solutions - Mentor and guide engineers in solving complex technical and investigative challenges - Represent the algorithms team during system-level hardware and software integration activities - Develop and deploy image processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms for production-grade inspection systems - Contribute to software quality and reliability initiatives throughout the full development lifecycle Required Qualifications - PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with 3 or more years of relevant experience, OR MTech, MS, BTech, or BS in CS or EE with 6 or more years of experience - Strong foundation in image processing and computer vision with working knowledge of machine learning and deep learning - Proficiency in C/C++ and MATLAB; hands-on experience on Unix/Linux platforms - Experience with object-oriented and/or functional programming paradigms - Familiarity with Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow is an added advantage - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with emerging technical leadership capabilities Why Join Us KLA invests over 15% of annual sales into research and development, making it one of the most innovation-driven employers in the semiconductor industry.
