Software Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, powering the technology behind every modern electronic device worldwide. We are looking for a motivated Software Test Automation Engineer to join our Software Quality Engineering team in Chennai and contribute to the qualification and automation of cutting-edge semiconductor software products. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to work alongside world-class engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute test cases for new and existing products including functional, regression, performance, and reliability testing - Assess automation feasibility of test cases and script automated test execution workflows - Develop and maintain test cases in emerging technologies such as Deep Learning and Machine Learning - Collaborate with Algorithms, System Engineering, Application Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams across multiple geographies - Leverage AI tools to build utilities, applications, and enhance overall work output - Represent the SQE team in product life cycle reviews and key program meetings - Travel to customer fabrication facilities to understand real-world use cases, deploy software, and provide troubleshooting support - Publish test results, recommendations, training materials, and best known methods Required Qualifications - Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or a related field - Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills - Self-driven with the ability to work effectively in a team environment - Background in IC processing or semiconductor equipment is an advantage - Hands-on experience with test automation tools is a plus - Willingness to travel and engage with multicultural teams across global locations Why Join Us At KLA, we invest heavily in innovation and employee growth, dedicating over 15 percent of our sales revenue back into research and development.
