Python Senior Specialist

As a Python Senior Specialist within the IT group at KLA, you will design and deliver cutting-edge AI-driven solutions that enable business growth, operational excellence, and next-generation intelligent automation. This is a high-impact role where you will work alongside world-class engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build scalable Agentic AI systems. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable AI-driven Python applications - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services focused on Agentic AI architectures, automated reasoning workflows, and autonomous task-orchestration systems - Build intelligent AI agents capable of planning, tool-use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-step autonomous decision-making - Develop end-to-end pipelines covering data ingestion, vector embeddings, model integration, orchestration logic, and performance monitoring - Implement complex business logic, model interaction rules, and state management for agent-based systems - Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily standups to ensure timely delivery of milestones - Conduct and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for AI features and support production deployments - Prepare and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and operating procedures for AI services and Python-based applications - Mentor junior developers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions promoting best practices in Python engineering and AI development Required Qualifications - 5 or more years of hands-on Python development experience building production-grade backend services or data-intensive applications - 2 or more years of experience with modern AI ecosystems including Agentic AI frameworks, RAG pipelines, vector stores, and tool-calling workflows - Strong expertise with FastAPI or Flask, asynchronous programming, microservices architecture, and API integrations - Proven experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into real-world applications - Proficiency in designing data pipelines and working with SQL and NoSQL technologies - Exposure to cloud platforms and containerization technologies - Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Why Join Us KLA invests more than 15 percent of its sales back into research and development, making it one of the most innovation-driven companies in the semiconductor ecosystem.
