Role Overview
Standard Chartered India is seeking an experienced Team Leader for its Central Trade Testing function within GBS Trade Operations. The role centres on leading User Acceptance Testing across Trade Finance systems, with a primary focus on achieving zero production defects across all projects and enhancements. You will serve as a key point of contact between the UAT team, project managers, trade operations staff, and multiple senior stakeholders across the bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate UAT activities across TP systems including TradeXpress, ensuring all test artefacts are prepared, updated, and uploaded to SharePoint
- Prepare detailed test cases, maintain traceability and coverage, and ensure test packs are kept current and complete
- Drive test automation efforts by developing and periodically updating automation scripts
- Actively participate in defect management calls, EPIC demos, BRD reviews, and FSD walkthroughs, providing timely and accurate inputs for DSRs
- Act as SPOC for all system-related issues pertaining to TradeXpress, covering both transactional and thematic concerns
- Coordinate UVT nominations and support all UVT users during the UVT window for production and enhancement releases including TxKey
- Collaborate with the Training team to deliver product and process training to Trade Operations staff
- Participate in Country Connect calls and keep the UAT team updated on BAU developments and GDOIs
- Identify and escalate potential delays and risks proactively to relevant stakeholders
- Maintain accurate production defect logs for every software release
- Comply with Group and local policies, procedures, and regulatory conduct standards
- Support risk management by acting as first line of defence and contributing to operational risk process improvements
- Mentor, coach, and guide new team members to build a high-performing, knowledgeable team
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience managing testing engagements within large, complex organisations
- Proficiency across all stages of the testing lifecycle, including functional and non-functional test analysis
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Trade Finance banking products and back-office operations
- Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering policies, online transaction processing tools, and process improvement frameworks
- Working knowledge of JIRA for defect tracking and test management
