Job Description

Role Overview Tradesala - Shop Indian Brands is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Associate in Accounts Payable to join our growing finance team in Chennai. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end payables processing, ensuring all vendor payments, invoice handling, and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time. You will play a key role in maintaining financial discipline and supporting smooth accounting operations within a dynamic e-commerce environment. Key Responsibilities - Process incoming invoices and employee expense claims in a timely and accurate manner - Prepare bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, ageing reports, and Statements of Accounts - Manage monthly vendor payouts through the payment gateway and process customer return payments - Maintain accounting ledgers and assist in month-end closing activities - Resolve accounts payable queries with both internal teams and external vendors - Support internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant documentation and data - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve AP processes, controls, and reporting Required Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA, or CA) - 1 to 3 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel - Working knowledge of accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent is an advantage - Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills - Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting Why Join Us Tradesala is a fast-growing platform championing Indian brands and offering a vibrant, collaborative work culture where finance professionals can grow their expertise. Requirements

- B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA, or CA qualification - 1 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role - Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel - Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or similar accounting software is a plus - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment - High attention to detail and strong organisational skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
