Job Description

Role Overview Hubbell Incorporated is looking for an experienced Specialist in Electromechanical Design to lead and manage engineering teams working across mechanical and electromechanical product portfolios. This role covers Distribution Lateral Protection Products, Substation products, and Transmission Switching and Fusing Products in the Medium and High Voltage segment. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across onshore and offshore teams. Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage engineering projects as a hands-on technical and administrative contributor overseeing end-to-end project delivery - Drive design and development activities including project planning, staffing, procurement, and infrastructure management - Develop, track, and publish project metrics while monitoring progress and resolving issues that impact team productivity - Act as the primary point of contact for US-based stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones - Foster transparent communication and collaboration between offshore and onshore engineering teams - Provide technical guidance on best practices, troubleshoot complex engineering problems, and mentor team members for professional growth - Monitor and control project budgets to ensure resources are used effectively within allocated limits - Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend technical advancements relevant to product development Required Qualifications - Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline - Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience with Medium and High Voltage Switchgear products such as Reclosers, Capacitor Switches, AIS Switchgear, LBS, and Switching and Fusing Products - Hands-on experience in New Product Development, sustaining engineering, and product testing - Proficiency in FEM Analysis and Electrical Simulations including Electric Field and Electrical Stress analysis - Knowledge in Mechanical Simulations covering Mold Flow, Electro-Thermal, Stress, and Failure Analysis - Experience in type testing of MV and HV Switchgear Products as per IEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards - Familiarity with Casting Processes including GDC, PDC, and APG Molding - Proven experience managing medium-sized engineering teams with strong project management and strategic thinking skills - Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Why Join Us Hubbell Incorporated offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where engineering professionals can work on globally impactful power infrastructure products. Requirements

- 12 to 15 years of experience in MV and HV Switchgear products - Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Experience in New Product Development and product testing - Knowledge in FEM Analysis and Electrical Simulation - Knowledge in Mechanical Simulation including Mold Flow and Failure Analysis - Troubleshooting experience in MV and HV products - Experience in type testing as per IEC, ANSI, and IEEE standards - Knowledge in Casting Process including GDC, PDC, and APG Molding - Team leadership and project management skills - Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
