Senior Relationship Manager

Role Overview Niva Bupa Health Insurance is seeking a driven and experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join its Institutional Sales team in Chennai. This is a key bancassurance role where you will manage and grow health insurance sales through banking partner channels, working closely with branch managers and sales teams to deliver exceptional service and achieve business targets. Key Responsibilities - Achieve annual sales targets by driving premium collections and case volumes across all customer segments within assigned branches - Build and maintain strong relationships with branch staff at all levels and ensure timely resolution of escalations within defined TATs - Conduct joint sales calls with bank staff to generate quality leads and ensure accurate lead tracking in the MBHI lead management system - Provide regular product training and refresher sessions to the banking partner's sales force on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis - Drive health insurance penetration across relationship managers and the client base while advising customers on the right health insurance solutions - Engage in branch customer awareness programs and identify opportunities to bundle health insurance propositions - Manage a portfolio of 3 branches with a focus on higher segment penetration and productivity improvement - Champion reward and recognition programs launched for bank staff to boost motivation and activation Required Qualifications - Graduate degree in any discipline - 2 to 7 years of experience in bancassurance, preferably in life or general insurance - Strong background in relationship management, investment advisory, or wealth management within the banking sector - Proficiency in convincing skills, product knowledge, compliance awareness, and customer-focused problem solving - Familiarity with technology platforms and CRM or lead management systems Why Join Us Niva Bupa is one of India's fastest-growing standalone health insurers, certified as a Great Place to Work for three consecutive years, and is on an ambitious journey toward 10,000 Crore GWP by 2027.
