Senior Manager BIM

Role Overview SMEC, an SJ Group company, is looking for a seasoned Senior Manager BIM to lead Building Information Modelling implementation across large-scale railway infrastructure projects based out of Chennai. This is a high-impact role suited for a BIM professional who thrives in complex, multidisciplinary environments and is passionate about delivering world-class infrastructure. You will be at the forefront of digital delivery, driving standards, compliance, and collaboration across project lifecycles. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end BIM implementation for railway and infrastructure projects - Develop, manage, and enforce BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and ISO 19650 compliance across all project phases - Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary BIM models covering Civil, Track, Structures, and MEP disciplines - Oversee clash detection processes, quality assurance, and quality control activities within the BIM environment - Act as the primary point of contact for client coordination on all BIM-related deliverables and requirements - Support 4D construction sequencing, 5D cost integration, and quantity extraction workflows Required Qualifications - Proven experience in BIM management on large infrastructure or railway projects - Strong working knowledge of BIM authoring tools and common data environments - Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plan development - Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across Civil, Structural, and MEP disciplines - Experience with clash detection platforms and QA/QC processes in a BIM context - Excellent client communication and stakeholder management skills Why Join Us At Surbana Jurong, talent, collaboration, and a people-first workplace culture come together to solve some of the world's most complex infrastructure challenges.
