Role Overview
HCLTech is actively hiring experienced professionals for multiple roles in the UK Life and Pensions domain at its Chennai Navallur Campus. These positions span across Operations, Quality Assurance, and Team Leadership functions within financial services processes including ARF Post-Retirement, Savings and Investments, and Individual Personal Retirement Savings Accounts. Immediate joiners and candidates with up to 30 days notice period will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle back-office insurance operations including claims, alterations, surrenders, top-ups, fund switches, and income payments for UK pensions and life products
- Process ARF new business inputs, manage post-retirement transactions, and ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial data handling
- Respond professionally to written enquiries from policyholders and Independent Financial Advisers and manage complaint resolution
- Conduct quality audits across ARF and Savings and Investments transactions to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory standards
- Supervise day-to-day team activities, allocate tasks, monitor performance, and lead coaching sessions and team huddles
- Collaborate with QA and compliance teams to identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement
- Prepare operational reports and contribute to strategic planning and system testing initiatives
- Coordinate with underwriting teams for special cases and maintain data integrity throughout onboarding and conversion workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- 1 to 6 years of experience in financial or insurance operations depending on the role applied for
- Strong knowledge of ARF products, pension fund operations, savings and investment products, and UK life and pensions regulations
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with audit tools and internal financial systems
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience in team management, workflow optimisation, or supervisory roles for senior positions
- Knowledge of UK insurance compliance standards and data confidentiality practices

Requirements
- 1 to 6 years of experience in insurance or financial operations
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Knowledge of ARF, pension funds, savings and investment products
- Familiarity with UK life and pensions regulations and compliance standards
- Strong written communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data reconciliation
- Experience with back-office insurance processes such as claims and alterations
- Team leadership or supervisory experience for senior roles
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Immediate to 30 days notice period preferred
