PD Finance Analyst

Role Overview Ford Motor Company is looking for a driven and detail-oriented PD Finance Analyst to join its Product Development Finance team in Chennai. This entry-level full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and finance within one of the world's most iconic automotive brands. You will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, and strategic alignment across vehicle development programs. Key Responsibilities - Validate 2-Pager documents used for permanent quality fixes and assist the PD team in securing quicker approvals and implementation - Review and validate CAPEX costs associated with quality fixes and facilitate funding through iERP fund load activities - Track approved costs rigorously to ensure accurate financial reporting at month end - Collaborate with cross-vehicle line Chief Program Engineering and Product Development teams to align with strategic goals, budget targets, and cost containment objectives - Develop and deliver monthly management reports to drive cost control within approved budgets in coordination with CPE, PVT, and D&R stakeholders - Provide timely physical-based management variance reports to inform and influence key operating stakeholders - Gather and consolidate financial actuals and forecast inputs from multiple stakeholders for specific vehicle lines - Apply problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen to drive cost-conscious decision making - Collate key physical metrics related to operational changes and prepare variance reports for management review - Prepare management schedules ensuring accuracy and completeness for review and approval cycles - Identify opportunities to modernise finance operations within the OPD team and implement best practices using technology Required Qualifications - Engineering degree at SG6 or SG7 level combined with an MBA in Finance, or a qualification as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or equivalent - Strong foundation in financial planning, budgeting, and root cause analysis - Engineering background with solid finance and accounting knowledge - Proficiency or certification in analytical tools such as Alteryx or Power BI is preferred - Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English - Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and high integrity - Ability to manage conflicts, handle exceptions, and work effectively across cross-functional teams Why Join Us Ford Motor Company offers a globally respected work environment where innovation and financial excellence go hand in hand.
