Job Description

Role Overview Genpact is looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist at the Assistant Manager level to join its Human Resource Outsourcing team in Bengaluru. This role involves managing end-to-end international payroll operations for multiple global entities while ensuring full compliance with country-specific labor laws and tax regulations. You will work at the intersection of finance, HR, and technology in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. Key Responsibilities - Manage the complete daily payroll cycle for assigned international entities including data collection, preparation, and validation - Process employee onboarding and exit payroll in accordance with local labor laws and regional regulations - Administer global variable compensation, insured benefits, and country-specific employee perks - Initiate net pay disbursements through banking platforms and ensure timely settlement of salaries, social security, and tax obligations - Oversee periodic statutory filings and ensure all country-specific payroll reports are submitted accurately and on time - Maintain internal controls, support year-end activities, and act as a key contact during payroll compliance audits - Perform monthly reconciliations of payroll-related General Ledger accounts and provide payroll journals to the Finance team - Build and maintain strong relationships with payroll vendors and third-party data providers - Resolve employee payroll queries within defined SLAs and deliver a high-quality employee experience - Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to streamline monthly payroll processes Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance, or a Master's degree in Business Administration or Business Analytics - 1 to 3 years of experience in Finance, Hire to Retire processes, R2R Tax and Treasury, or Workday - Strong understanding of international payroll practices and compliance standards - Hands-on experience with Workday or similar payroll and HRMS platforms - Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Why Join Us Genpact offers a dynamic and inclusive work culture powered by AI and digital innovation where you can grow your career while contributing to meaningful global transformation. Requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in Finance or Payroll operations - Experience in Hire to Retire (H2R) processes - Knowledge of R2R Tax and Treasury functions - Hands-on experience with Workday - Familiarity with international payroll compliance and statutory filings - Strong General Ledger reconciliation skills - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
