Controllership Payroll Level 2 Manager Sr Manager

Role Overview Genpact is seeking an experienced Controllership professional specialising in Payroll Level 2 operations for a Manager or Senior Manager role based in Bengaluru. This is a high-impact position within a globally recognised advanced technology services organisation that is at the forefront of AI and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will lead strategic payroll implementations, manage cross-functional initiatives, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert across international payroll markets including EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end onboarding of new payroll entities including initial setup, M&A integrations, and stabilisation phases - Manage the selection, transition, and implementation of international payroll vendors while ensuring continuity of service - Act as the primary architect for transitioning operational workflows to the Global Payroll Operations team - Handle hands-on payroll processing including base pay, bonuses, and deductions during the stabilisation phase of new entities - Own the full project roadmap for payroll initiatives using structured documentation, risk mitigation strategies, and executive-level status reporting - Partner with IT, HR, Legal, and Finance teams to resolve operational roadblocks and align payroll infrastructure with organisational goals - Identify and implement automation opportunities using AI and advanced system capabilities to minimise manual processes - Serve as SME for international payroll markets overseeing regions with headcounts exceeding 1,000 employees - Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and employee-facing knowledge bases - Define, track, and analyse payroll performance metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Commerce, Economics, or Finance - Masters degree in Business Administration or Business Analytics preferred - Strong understanding of international payroll regulations across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM - Proven experience in payroll project management and cross-functional collaboration - Familiarity with payroll automation tools and AI-driven process optimisation Why Join Us Genpact offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment where innovation, integrity, and customer focus are at the heart of everything we do.
