Payments Senior Analyst

Role Overview Siemens Energy is seeking a Payments Senior Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will lead complex payment operations within the global Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, ensuring timely and compliant execution of payment runs across multiple entities. You will serve as the subject matter expert, resolving high-value or cross-country payment exceptions and coaching junior analysts to ensure high-quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities - Execute and oversee automated, manual, and urgent payment runs in SAP and corporate banking platforms - Resolve complex payment exceptions (failed, rejected, duplicate, or returned runs) and maintain documentation - Partner with the treasury and cash management teams to support liquidity planning and funding readiness - Drive continuous improvement, process automation, and stabilization initiatives in the payments workflow - Support knowledge transfer, onboarding, and career coaching for payment analysts within the team - Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses, risk reports, and process performance metrics for senior management Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field - Strong experience in global payments, purchase-to-pay (P2P) workflows, and internal control frameworks - Proficiency in SAP (FI and AP modules) and experience with corporate banking platforms - Excellent analytical, Excel, and database reconciliation skills - Exceptional English communication skills, with experience working in a shared services environment Why Join Us Siemens Energy is a global leader in energy technology, operating across 90+ countries. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline - 4+ years of experience in Finance operations, preferably within payments or P2P in a shared services setup - Strong working knowledge of SAP FI and AP modules and automated banking interfaces - Strong understanding of international payment methods, bank clearings, and financial controls - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
