Payments Principal Analyst

Role Overview Siemens Energy is looking for a seasoned Payments Principal Analyst to lead and coordinate the Payments function within the Purchase-to-Pay process. This is a mid-senior level, full-time opportunity based in Bengaluru, ideal for finance professionals with deep expertise in payments operations, internal controls, and team leadership. You will serve as the primary escalation point and strategic partner across regional and global stakeholders to drive operational excellence in a complex shared services environment. Key Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end payments operations including payment execution, exception handling, and service delivery across multiple entities and regions - Own process governance, internal controls, and audit readiness covering approval workflows, SoD compliance, and bank authorization matrices - Manage and coach a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement - Partner with Accounts Payable, Treasury, Cash and Bank, HR, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve payment processes - Drive automation initiatives, bank harmonization, ERP and payment platform changes, and transition activities - Monitor and report on KPIs, service levels, risk indicators, and capacity planning for the P2P Payments landscape Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline - Extensive experience in Payments, P2P, Accounts Payable, or Finance Operations within a shared services or complex operational setup - Strong knowledge of banking operations, payment processes, internal controls, and risk management - Solid SAP expertise in FI and AP modules along with familiarity with payment programs and bank connectivity platforms - Proven people leadership experience including performance management, coaching, and team development - Demonstrated track record in process optimization, transformation projects, or transition management - Fluent business English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus Why Join Us Siemens Energy is a global leader in energy technology operating across 90 plus countries, committed to decarbonization, innovation, and a balanced energy future.
