Payments Senior Analyst - Accounts Payable and P2P Operations

Role Overview Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Payments Senior Analyst to lead and manage complex payment operations within the Purchase-to-Pay end-to-end process. The role demands a detail-oriented finance professional who can ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of payment runs across multiple entities and geographies. You will serve as a subject matter expert for the team, guiding analysts and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities - Own and oversee payment runs in SAP and banking platforms, covering automated, manual, urgent, and exception-based payments across multiple countries and legal entities - Independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex payment exceptions including failed, rejected, duplicate, and returned payments with full documentation and proper escalation - Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Cash and Bank, Treasury, Master Data, Human Resources, and business teams to resolve operational issues and enhance payment workflows - Partner with Treasury to support cash management, liquidity planning, payment prioritization, and funding readiness while maintaining proactive stakeholder communication - Support knowledge transfer, onboarding, and coaching activities within the Payments team - Prepare ad hoc analyses, reconciliations, and risk or performance reports as needed Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline - Prior experience in a multi-entity or shared services environment handling end-to-end payment processes - Strong working knowledge of SAP FI and AP modules including Payment Programs, bank interfaces, and internal control frameworks - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting or reconciliation tools is an added advantage - Exposure to transition, transformation, automation, or stabilization projects is beneficial - Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to travel occasionally for training, workshops, or project-related activities Why Join Us Siemens Energy operates across 90 plus countries with over 92,000 employees, powering more than 16 percent of global electricity needs while championing decarbonization and energy transformation. - Experience in Payments or Accounts Payable within a shared services or multi-entity environment - Strong SAP knowledge including FI, AP modules, and Payment Programs - Familiarity with banking platforms and payment interfaces - Ability to handle high-value and cross-country payment exceptions - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reconciliation tools - Experience supporting transitions, automation, or process improvement initiatives - Fluent English communication skills - Willingness to travel occasionally if required
