Mixed Reality Designer (3D Artist)

We are looking for a skilled Mixed Reality Designer (3D Artist) based in Chennai to join our KLA Services team and drive the development of immersive AR and VR experiences for industrial applications. This is a mid-to-senior level full-time opportunity for a design professional with deep expertise in 3D content creation, XR technologies, and cross-functional project leadership. Key Responsibilities - Lead the interpretation of complex storyboards and service procedures to design interactive and immersive 3D experiences for AR and VR platforms - Drive optimisation strategies for 3D CAD models to ensure performance and scalability of holographic and XR applications - Oversee end-to-end content development including 3D asset creation, animation workflows, and quality assurance for XR device compatibility - Facilitate cross-regional stakeholder meetings to align on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables - Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery with minimal supervision - Mentor and guide junior designers to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement - Contribute to strategic planning for XR initiatives and provide technical leadership in solution design - Introduce new tools and process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency across the team Required Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - 8 to 15 years of experience in AR/VR design or a closely related field with a proven track record of leading complex projects - Extensive hands-on experience with CAD applications such as Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, or PiXYZ - Proficiency in 3D modelling and animation tools including 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or Creo Illustrate - Experience with AR/VR development platforms such as Vuforia Studio, Unity, Unreal Engine, or Microsoft 365 Guides - Prior experience working with AR/VR wearable hardware devices - Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills across global teams - Strategic thinking with the ability to drive innovation and influence decision-making at senior levels Why Join Us At KLA, you will work alongside world-class engineers and technologists on problems that genuinely shape the future of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.
