Manager, Service Design

Role Overview Noora Health is a mission-driven global health organisation that equips family caregivers with skills to support patient recovery. As Manager of Service Design, you will lead end-to-end service design initiatives across program areas in India, working at the intersection of healthcare, systems thinking, and human-centred design. This is a senior individual contributor and people management role suited for a seasoned design professional ready to drive meaningful impact at scale. Key Responsibilities - Own and drive full-cycle service design projects from discovery through implementation and iteration across multiple program areas - Independently lead projects in complex and ambiguous environments while guiding team members to deliver high-quality outcomes - Synthesise research insights into actionable design artefacts such as service blueprints, system maps, journey maps, and narrative presentations - Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously, ensuring alignment, clarity, and on-time delivery - Design and facilitate workshops for co-creation, alignment, and decision-making across cross-functional and senior-level teams - Mentor and manage designers within the team, supporting career growth through coaching, feedback, and performance conversations - Evangelise the role and value of service design across teams and organisational functions - Proactively identify service design opportunities and engage with leadership to shape new and existing initiatives Required Qualifications - Postgraduate degree in Design with 5 or more years of experience in Service Design, Design Research, Design Strategy, UX, Interaction Design, or Social Design - Proven ability to create service blueprints, journey maps, and system maps using Miro or similar collaborative visual tools - Demonstrated experience applying service design methodologies in real-world contexts across both frontstage and backstage systems - Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with experience engaging senior leadership - Solid project management capabilities including independently driving initiatives and handling multiple priorities - Proficiency in English; additional fluency in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, or Punjabi is an advantage - Prior experience in healthcare, public health, or related sectors is a strong plus Why Join Us Noora Health has trained over 51.4 million caregivers and patients across 16,000 plus facilities and is recognised globally as an Audacious Project Grantee and Skoll Foundation Award recipient for Social Innovation. - Postgraduate degree in Design (Service Design, UX, Interaction, Social Design, or related field) - 5 plus years of relevant experience in service design or design research - Proficiency in Miro or other collaborative visual design tools - Experience creating service blueprints, system maps, and journey maps - Strong research synthesis and insight-to-action translation skills - Workshop design and facilitation experience for cross-functional teams - Stakeholder management and senior leadership engagement skills - Project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities - Experience in healthcare or public health domain is preferred - Proficiency in English; regional Indian language skills are a plus
