Job Description

Role Overview Emerson is looking for an experienced Manager - Inside Sales to join its Asia Pacific team based in Chennai. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of inside sales engineers, drive Control Valve (FCV) business targets, and prepare high-quality techno-commercial solutions for KOB2 and KOB3 clients and sales offices. You will leverage your engineering expertise and Fisher Software to deliver precise sizing and selection of control valves for complex, severe-service applications. Key Responsibilities - Lead, guide, and mentor a team of engineers and integrate new hires into the sales office culture - Review and validate quotations prepared by team members, identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimal solution options - Drive the team toward achieving FCV AP KOB2/3 business targets for the financial year - Serve as a subject matter expert in sizing and selecting control valves for severe service and critical applications - Manage workload distribution, conduct performance reviews, and track team metrics including RDSL, PDSL, Productivity, and RFT - Analyze RFQ scope and resource availability, then commit to realistic deadlines - Set KRAs for direct reports and build personalised development plans aligned with their career goals - Apply MIB strategy knowledge when reviewing quotations from less experienced engineers Required Qualifications - Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering - Minimum 9 years of experience handling projects and MRO in control valve or related industries - In-depth knowledge of control valve sizing, selection, and severe service applications - Strong understanding of project specifications and commercial terms - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills - Familiarity with internal and industry standards relevant to the role - KFLA competencies: Manages Complexity, Collaboration, Drives Engagement, Builds Effective Teams Why Join Us At Emerson, every employee is valued, empowered, and supported to grow through mentorship, training, and leadership development opportunities. Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering - Minimum 9 years of experience in control valve projects and MRO - Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams - In-depth knowledge of control valve sizing and selection for severe service applications - Strong knowledge of MIB strategies and project specifications - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to analyze RFQ scope and manage team workload effectively - Familiarity with Fisher Software is an advantage - Understanding of internal and industry standards related to control valves
