Application Administrator

Role Overview Emerson is looking for a skilled Application Administrator to join its Global Project Management Office team in Chennai. In this mid-senior role, you will be responsible for the controlled administration, support, and governance of in-house and third-party applications used across the PMO. You will ensure system availability, data integrity, access control, and compliance with IT policies and security standards. Key Responsibilities - Manage and maintain configuration of existing in-house and third-party applications - Evaluate, test, and configure new applications as per business requirements - Track change and enhancement requests, perform impact analysis, and coordinate testing of upgrades - Maintain configuration documentation, user lists, and perform user administration functions - Monitor, triage, and resolve end user support requests and escalate vendor issues as needed - Support data integration, extraction, custom query creation, and compliant reporting activities - Identify process automation opportunities and assist in implementation - Develop work plans and provide regular status reports to managers and stakeholders - Monitor data integrity periodically and support archiving activities - Maintain audit-ready records and support governance and compliance requirements Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science (BSc), or Computer Applications (BCA) or equivalent - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in application administration or a similar role - Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff at all levels - Demonstrated expertise as a subject matter expert in software application support and maintenance - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and customer service skills - Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Agile project management is preferred - Understanding of business functions related to supported applications is an advantage Why Join Us Emerson fosters a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous growth where every employee is valued and empowered to make a lasting impact.
