Business Analyst

Role Overview Emerson is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join the Application Support Team within FCEC in Chennai. In this role, you will contribute to the development of Presto, a next-generation CPQ cloud tool, and Phoenix, a comprehensive digital transformation initiative. You will be part of a highly visible and innovative team that drives the business forward using modern technologies and agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities - Gather and analyse business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications - Serve as the liaison between business users and technical development teams to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables - Create, manage, and track work items in Azure DevOps with well-defined acceptance criteria and reproduction steps - Develop and review test cases and test plans for projects currently in the development phase - Maintain and prioritise product backlogs in close collaboration with the Product Owner - Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues reported by end users in a timely manner - Perform regular data and code deployments into the application without disruptions - Provide technical support and product education to users across different regions Required Qualifications - Degree in any STEM discipline - 2 to 5 years of experience in an FCV team with working knowledge of FF2, PQT, and ERP systems - Sound understanding of business concepts, practices, and procedures - Strong time management and project management capabilities - High learning agility with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills for cross-regional work - Fluency in spoken and written English with strong presentation abilities - Basic SQL knowledge is preferred - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why Join Us Emerson fosters a workplace culture that values every employee through mentorship, training, and leadership development opportunities.
