Engineering Associate

Role Overview Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineering Associate to join its facilities and maintenance team at the Chennai ECR property. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in building maintenance, facility coordination, and guest services. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for guests at all times. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate with various hotel departments using telecommunications systems to respond to maintenance requests and resolve facility issues in a timely manner - Schedule and coordinate with relevant teams during major system shutdowns, large-scale repairs, or facility improvement projects - Maintain accurate purchase order logs and match orders against packing slips upon payment filing - Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery visually to ensure they are in proper working condition - Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries in line with company safety and security protocols - Assist guests according to company standards, address service needs courteously, and support individuals with disabilities - Enter and manage work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems - Handle and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds as part of routine duties - Perform additional tasks as reasonably assigned by supervisors Required Qualifications - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in engineering, maintenance, or facilities - No supervisory experience required - No specific license or certification required - Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare and review written documents accurately - Ability to read and verify information across various formats including small print - Professional appearance and conduct at all times Why Join Us At Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott International, you become part of a globally respected hospitality brand with a legacy dating back to 1937 and a presence in over 400 communities worldwide.
