Civil and Structural Design Engineer - Substation and Power Infrastructure

Role Overview Live Connections is looking for skilled Civil and Structural Engineering professionals to join their growing team working on Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure projects across Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Faridabad. The positions are available in a design consultancy or EPC environment with exposure to high-impact power infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities - Design and carry out detailed engineering for substation, transmission line, and industrial civil projects - Perform analysis and design of RCC and steel structures including foundations for electrical equipment and transmission structures - Prepare and review civil design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical documents - Develop BOQ, DPR, design reports, and construction documentation packages - Design drainage systems, grading plans, site roads, and overall site development layouts - Coordinate with geotechnical teams for soil investigation inputs and foundation planning - Review vendor drawings and verify compliance with project specifications and standards - Provide on-site technical support and resolve engineering queries during construction - Lead civil and structural engineering teams across multiple projects for senior roles - Drive engineering standardization, innovation, and digital engineering practices at the leadership level Required Qualifications - B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering - 3 to 7 years of experience for Design Engineer roles, 10 to 15 years for Lead Engineer roles, and 15 to 20 years for Chief Engineering Manager roles - Hands-on experience in RCC structure design and steel structure design - Strong foundation engineering skills for electrical equipment and civil structures - Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, and MS Office; Revit and Tekla are preferred - Prior experience in substation or power transmission projects within a design consultancy or EPC setup - Team management and mentoring experience required for Lead and Manager level roles Why Join Us Live Connections offers a platform to work on large-scale power infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative and technically challenging environment.
