Civil and Structural Design Engineer - Substation and Power Infrastructure

Role Overview Live Connections is hiring experienced Civil and Structural Engineering professionals for multiple positions in Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Infrastructure projects across Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Faridabad. Roles are open at three levels including Design Engineer (3 to 7 years), Lead Design Engineer (10 to 15 years), and Chief Engineering Manager (15 to 20 years). Candidates with a B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural, Geotechnical, or Environmental disciplines are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities - Design and execute detailed engineering for Substation, Transmission, and Industrial Civil projects - Analyse and design RCC and Steel Structures including foundations for electrical equipment and transmission structures - Prepare and review civil design calculations, drawings, BOQ, DPR, and construction documentation - Design drainage systems, grading plans, roads, and site development works - Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams - Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications - Provide technical support to site execution teams and resolve engineering issues - Lead civil and structural engineering teams across multiple projects (Lead and Manager roles) - Drive engineering standardisation, innovation, and digital engineering initiatives - Mentor engineers and support skill development within the team Required Qualifications - B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering - Hands-on experience in RCC structure design, steel structure design, and foundation engineering - Knowledge of substation civil works and industrial or transmission infrastructure projects - Proficiency in STAAD Pro, ETABS, and AutoCAD; Revit and Tekla are preferred - Experience in design consultancy or EPC project environments - Team management experience required for Lead and Manager level roles Why Join Us This is a strong opportunity to work on high-impact power and infrastructure projects with a reputed engineering firm that values technical excellence and professional growth.
