BIM Designer - Dry Utilities

Role Overview Egis is a globally recognised engineering and infrastructure consultancy operating across 100 countries with a strong presence in the Middle East. We are looking for a skilled BIM Designer specialising in Dry Utilities and Electrical Infrastructure to join our Chennai team and contribute to large-scale, complex infrastructure projects across the region. Key Responsibilities - Create and manage detailed dry utilities and electrical design drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D BIM models for infrastructure projects - Handle Civil 3D pipe networks including gravity and pressure networks for dry utilities deliverables - Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models in compliance with project requirements, standards, and best practices - Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate various design components into unified BIM environments - Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts within the BIM platform - Generate quantity take-offs and cost estimates directly from BIM models - Assist in developing and implementing BIM workflows, standards, and best practices across projects - Provide technical guidance to team members on BIM-related tools and processes - Stay current with evolving BIM technologies, software updates, and industry trends Required Qualifications - Bachelor degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in BIM for dry utilities or electrical infrastructure projects - Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revit - Strong 3D modelling and visualisation capabilities - Solid understanding of infrastructure design principles and construction methodologies - Familiarity with CAD software and 2D drawing interpretation - BIM certification such as Autodesk certification is preferred - Prior exposure to infrastructure projects in the Middle East region is an advantage Why Join Us At Egis, you will be part of a forward-thinking global organisation that is shaping intelligent and sustainable infrastructure across the world.
