BIM Designer / CAD Draughtsman - Roads and Highways

We are looking for an experienced BIM Designer specialising in Roads and Highways infrastructure to join our Chennai team. This is a mid-senior level full-time opportunity where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality BIM models and CAD drawings for large-scale infrastructure projects across diverse geographies including the Middle East. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for roads and highways infrastructure projects using Autodesk Civil 3D and Navisworks - Create and manage design drawings and Civil 3D BIM models ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards and best practices - Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate various design elements into cohesive and coordinated BIM models - Generate accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates directly from BIM models - Assist in developing and implementing BIM workflows, standards, and processes across project teams - Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members on BIM-related tools and methodologies - Stay current with evolving BIM technologies, software updates, and industry trends - Work with 2D CAD drawings alongside 3D modelling tasks as required by project scope Required Qualifications - Bachelor degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in CAD and BIM for roads and highways infrastructure projects - Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Navisworks - Solid understanding of infrastructure design principles and construction processes - Excellent 3D modelling and visualisation capabilities - Familiarity with 2D CAD software and drafting standards - Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail - Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment - BIM certification such as Autodesk Certification is preferred - Prior exposure to infrastructure projects in the Middle East region is an advantage Why Join Us Egis offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your expertise contributes to intelligent infrastructure that shapes cities and communities worldwide.
